Rochefort neckties are unique in Australia, handmade from silks milled to order from Como, Northern Italy and Sudsbury England.

Each colourway in each design is kept to a minimum – no more than 25 made from each coloured roll. For this reason, Rochefort has its own 'club' status – notice a Rochefort necktie and you notice another individual wearer.

Rochefort neckties are handmade in three models, 4, 6 and 7-fold – the more folds, the more luxurious they become. We also make a longer, 160cm necktie – as well as the ultimate addition to a gentleman’s wardrobe – the bespoke necktie.

Necktie models - four, six fold and seven fold


The 4-fold model uses abundant quantities of silk. Open the back and notice the silk fabric extends across the entire back blade (see picture middle right) providing an evenly weighted tie which sits well against the chest. A pure woollen lining is used. 

The 6-Fold is truly irresistible (see pic on right)…the amount of fabric used in this model would double many other well known brands. Three folds of fabric running down each half of the back blade of the necktie provides generous proportions. Pure woollen lining is used. This necktie sits well against the chest!

A 7-fold necktie is self-lined meaning no wool inner is being used for body. The weight of this necktie comes from the number of ‘folds’ of the silk fabric only - self lined. In fact, a 7-fold is cut from one piece of fabric and meticulously folded by hand and then delicately hand-sewn at its edges. It is a wonderful make of necktie.

Please Note: If you are after a good heavy weight of necktie, the 6-fold is your best pick. However, if you are after a beautiful make of necktie, the 7-fold cannot be overlooked.

The 160cm long necktie and bespoke

The 160cm necktie is made for all your taller gents. It is made in the 4-fold model of necktie as this sits well, but if you require another model in the longer length, please ask.

If you need longer still we can create a pattern specifically for you (which costs $175 to create) and keep it in-house so you can pick your fabric and we'll cut the tie to your requirements. We'll make it longer, wider, bigger.
