This is where you truly begin to create your own suit. You are able to select from a range of quality milling firms’ fabrics and have a suit cut to meet your body shape.
As the term suggests, there are an extensive amount of measurements which are taken literally from head to toe.
As well as measurements, your “balance” is taken into consideration, literally meaning if you slouch or stand quite erect, does one shoulder drop more than the other, do you have a paunch, etc.
What’s more, we look at how a pre-existing jacket sits on your frame because the suit is cut from a pre-existing “block” or pattern. This also provides us with a good indication of measurement and balance.
These details are then used to cut your fabric selection and made into a finished suit, taking into account how you would like it to look: single or double breasted; one, two or three buttons; venting; lapels; and more.
Note: There are many high-grade
retail brands claiming made-to-measure but if you are only getting your chest,
arm and body length measured, this is a made-to-order - less developed.
